Best exercises to work the adductors

The adductors are a group of muscles located on the inside of the thigh, along the midline. The main adductor muscles include adductor longus, adductor brevis, adductor magnus, gracilis and pectineus. Their main role is to adduct the thigh, i.e. to bring the leg closer to the center of the body. They are called upon during movements such as walking, squatting, climbing and lateral movements. The adductors also play a stabilizing role during unipodal (single-leg) movements, and contribute to balance and coordination of lower limb movements.
