Best exercises to work the triceps - long head

The triceps long chief, also known as the long head of the triceps brachii, is one of the three main heads of the triceps brachii. It is located at the back of the arm and is the longest of the three triceps heads. The triceps long head attaches to the scapula and ends in the triceps tendon, which attaches to the back of the ulna (forearm bone). This muscle is responsible for elbow extension, i.e. straightening the arm after it has been bent. It also plays a role in stabilizing the shoulder during movements such as pushing. The triceps longus is particularly involved in exercises such as high pulley triceps extensions, dips and bench presses. Proper development and strengthening of the triceps longus can contribute to a sculpted, powerful appearance of the arms.
